CAMP WASHINGTON COMMUNITY SKATEPARK
1201 STOCK AVE. CINCI, OH 45225
We are stoked to have secured a home for Cincinnati’s first concrete, state of the art skatepark in Camp Washington.
In partnership with the Cincinnati Recreation Commission (press release) and the community, we will work to build a safe, sustainable, and inclusive public skatepark.
We have secured the initial funding and the builder, the highly-favored Hunger Skateparks, is under contract. Now comes the fun part… DESIGN!
This park will be about 11,000 square feet complete with lighting, green space and community gathering spaces in addition to the basketball courts, playground and POOL (we see a skate and swim in your future) that are already in the space.
Over the next several months we will be conducting community design sessions where Hunger wants to hear from YOU; What do you want to go in to this park? Keep an eye out on our social media and website for all the information on those.
These mock ups are just to illustrate how the skatepark will occupy the space, but are not depicting any design specifics.
Why Camp Washington?
Camp Washington is a beautiful neighborhood in Cincinnati with a strong focus on arts, creativity and community. We are excited to partner with neighbors and local, small businesses to give Cincinnati the skatepark it deserves!
Here are some things we liked about this site:
Lots of Flat, Underutilized Space
Near Bike Lanes and Bus Routes
